Our National Conference Registration has been open since January, and we have had a great response so far. We are building a great content line up and are excited about our return to the University of Maryland and working with the Gossett Student-Athlete Center. Past participants can attest, attending this conference can help you tremendously in elevating and strengthening your programs for the upcoming (23-24) school year.
If you are a current school grantee, it carries an expectation that a minimum of
two staff pertinent to your program build attend this conference and training. We are recommending that you have conversations with your school administration about identifying your two staff (or more) who will represent your school. This conference is beneficial not only to Academic Athletic Support Staff, but Athletic Directors, Teachers, Athletic Coaches and Administrators.
Strong Recommendation: Have staff identified, registered, and hotel booked prior to April 30th, 2023. You can register and select to be invoiced and work with us on payment. You can also book your hotel well in advance and cancel up to 48 hours before arrival. Hotel rooms will go quickly!!
Couple of FAQ's:
1) Can we send more than two (2) staff? Answer: Yes, that is up to you.
2) School Grantees: Last year our registration fees were comped and covered by an AthLife Foundation partner, will this happen for this year? Answer: At this time, we do not have 100% solid commitments from our partners to cover registration fees for attendees. We are recommending you plan forward without relying on this, knowing that we are working consistently on helping where we can. Ultimately, it is up to the school and district to ensure attendee participation as part of your grant agreement.
3) Can we use our current grant or future grant funding to cover this cost? Answer: No. The grants you receive are specific to fund the Academic Athletic Support Staff positions you have created for the school year.
